The City of Stillwater operates under a council-manager form of government, in which an elected city council is responsible for making policy, passing ordinances, and approving the City's budget.
The Council is made up of five members, including the Mayor.
The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City of Stillwater and is appointed by and serves the City Council.
The City Manager is directly responsible for the daily operation and administration of the City.
The City of Stillwater seeks an experienced servant leader and forward thinker to serve as its next City Manager.
The ideal candidate will be analytical and strategic; a visionary and big-picture thinker, who can also manage the details well.
The next City Manager will have well-rounded experience in municipal government, including experience with public/private partnerships.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, human resources, business management, finance, or a related field, and at least seven years of progressively responsible management experience in a local government (or an equivalent position in an organization of comparable complexity) are required.
A master's degree is preferred.
Ten years of experience in local government, with previous experience as a City/Town Manager, is preferred.
Any combination of education and experience may be considered.
Residency within the City limits is required upon placement in this position.
The City of Stillwater offers a competitive salary of $190,000 - $220,000.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
