Seeking an Engineering ManagerMachining AAEMM
Our Client Company is a world-class leader in the design and manufacture of high-lift structures, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components. They are currently seeking an Engineering ManagerMachining in Stillwater, OK. The salary is commensurate with experience and relocation assistance may be considered.
The Engineering ManagerMachining, is responsible for the definition and optimization of processes and methods to respond to customer needs and company-cost imperatives and environmental legislation. He or she oversees Manufacturing Engineering and Project Management in support of the introduction of new products and processes, and the optimization of existing processes in cooperation with Production and Quality Departments. The Engineering ManagerMachining manages, mentors and coaches the engineering staff and helps them develop and optimize skills and abilities for team effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (B.S.) in an engineering or related technical field (preferably Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering) from a four-year college or university; advanced degree a plus
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering including experience in supervisory responsibilities, preferably within the aerospace environment
- Excellent knowledge of specifications and requirements for aerospace
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving techniques
- Experience in labor analysis, workplace study and time study
- Strong communication skills and effective writing skills in the English language (essential for writing reports, protocol, generating documents, communicating with customers, etc.)
- Project-management skills, detail orientation and strong analytical skills
- Computer proficiency in Excel, Word
- Basic knowledge in Catia V5 (a plus)
- Experience and working knowledge of machining processes and treatment processes (i.e. heat treatment,
surface treatment, chemical, shot peening, painting and assembly) preferred
- Knowledge of SPC tools and processes preferred
